Details have been also updated for the X16 LTE modem that will be powering the next generation of devices. The X16 modem is now appearing for the first time as a commercial technology. The X16 LTE modem builds for smartphones will be found inside Snapdragon, 820/821 mobile processors. This time in X16 LTE we will be having improved 256-QAD i.e. Quadcore amplitude modulation & 4 bands 20 MHz carrier aggregation tech will support for up to 1Gbps of theoretical download speed. The upload speeds of 150 Mbps will be achievable through the 64-QAM 2 band carrier aggregation design.

However, initial tests of X16 modem showed an average downlink speed of 112 Mbps – 307 Mbps. The areas where optimal strength was received showed up to 533 Mbps of high speeds too. As per Qualcomm the X16 LTE modem will be featuring in the next generation 2017 flagship mobile SoC & currently as per sources it may be known as Snapdragon 830. But whenever it may come definitely it is going to be providing a amazingly fast network which will fulfill the growing demands for 4K video & Virtual reality experiences.

Netgear has also recently unveiled its new Mobile router MR1100 which will be hitting Gigabit of speeds through the X16’s 3x carrier aggregation & 4 x 4 MIMO techs. And this hotspot network will coordinately work with Telstra’s coming network which is under development process with Ericsson, ready to roll out by the end this year.
