“Such devices can include, for example, portable music players (e.g., MP3 devices and Apple’s iPod devices), portable video players (e.g., portable DVD players), cellular telephones (e.g., smart telephones), video cameras, digital still cameras, projection systems (e.g., holographic projection systems), gaming systems, PDAs , as well as tablet (e.g., Apple’s iPad devices), laptops or other mobile computers. Some of these devices can be configured to provide audio, video or other data or sensory output,” Apple explains.
This indicates that the AirPods charging case could be used in the variety of products in future such as MacBook, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. According to the patent report, it is also assumed that the case design of AirPods may be waterproof in future. Report state that accessory will be “resistant or impervious to liquid penetration”, perfect for those prone to splash-based accidents and watery mishaps.
