NASA’s Veteran Hired To Join Apple’s Growing AR Team Says Report:
This report also says that he had already joined Apple’s Augmented Reality Team as a Senior Manager earlier this year. Apple has already been trying to ramp up its very owned reality technologies since past few years. The company had already hired Mike Rockwell from Dolby’s Technology (Chief) for boosting up its audio & display technologies & as of now he is heading the AR Team. Apple seems to be very focussed for its upcoming technology of AR since 2015 itself & keeping that in mind it has also made some notable hires & acquisitions in space too with the most recent one being responsible for various numbers of Virtual Reality Plugins for the Final Cut Pro.
Something about the so-called newer member in the Apple group i.e Jeff Norris As people must be very much unaware of this man i.e Norris. You should all be knowing that at NASA he had founded the Mission Operations Innovation Office of its Jet Propulsion Lab. There he had led his valuable efforts to “create new ways to control spacecraft & robots in the space with virtual & augmented reality”. Not only this but with the help of all these technologies he had issued some headsets to the scientists over there at the ground in order that they could have an experience with the live Mars images.
Reports also suggested in the past that Apple has been working on a pair of AR glasses that could be coming for a launch sometimes sooner in 2018. As there is no any official announcement yet from Apple leaked docs reveal that still, those are in the testing phase. In the Augmented Reality project at Apple, about 1000 engineers may be working another – the report says.
Tim Cook itself has spoken out about the AR in the past & praised all the efforts for the same on different occasions. It could also be the headlining feature of the upcoming iPhone 8 but this information is yet to be getting cleared officially. So we are still looking out for some more information & report related to the Apple Augmented Reality & will let you know at the earliest if any.
