    iPhone 7 Is The Highest-Selling Smartphone In Q1: Says Report: In the list of the highest-selling smartphone, Apple’s iPhone 7 is on the top with 6.1% of total smartphone shipped while iPhone 7 Plus with larger screen maintains its second position with 4.9% of shipment.

    Strategy Analytics shows a new data that reveals Apple’s iPhone 7 was highest-selling smartphone worldwide with the shipment of near about of 21.5 million units and iPhone 7 Plus which is costlier than iPhone 7 attains 17.4 million units sale during the first quarter of 2017.

    Strategic Analytics said the total sale of iPhone in the first quarter of this year is slightly above then the sale during the first quarter of last year. During Q1 of last year, Apple sold 333.1 million units of iPhone while in Q1 2017 this figure is increased to 353.3 million units.

      iPhone 7 becomes The No.1 Selling Smartphone

    Neil Mawston, Executive Director Strategy Analytics, in a statement on Wednesday said “Global smartphone shipments reached a robust 353.3 million units in the first quarter of 2017. The top-five most popular models together accounted for 1 in 6 of all smartphones shipped worldwide during the quarter”.

    In the list of highest-selling smartphone OPPO R9s smartphone – a Chinese brand shows a great performance and came to the third position with the shipment of 9 million units worldwide during the first quarter of the year.

    Neil Mawston, Executive Director at Strategy Analytics, added, “OPPO R9s shipped 8.9 million units for third place and 3 percent market share worldwide in Q1 2017. OPPO is largely unknown in the Western world, but its brand is wildly popular in China and growing rapidly across India. The R9s is OPPO’s flagship 4G device with key features such as dual-SIM connectivity and fingerprint security.”

    “Samsung was still gearing up for the launch of its new Galaxy S8 portfolio, but managed to get two models in the top five during the first quarter of 2017,” noted Linda Sui, Director Strategy Analytics.

    After the OPPO, Samsung Galaxy J3 and J5 came in fourth and fifth position respectively. Samsung Galaxy J3 shares 2% of total market sell of the smartphone while Samsung Galaxy J5 shares 1% of total market sell.
