WWDC 2018: Biggest Announcements That All You Need To Know About: On Monday Apple has started it’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference and the CEO of the company – Tim Cook has unveiled many of its product at this event including the iOS 12 and the updates for macOS. Let’s have look one by one at the biggest announcements made by the company:


iOS 12

Every year Apple introduces the updates of iOS at its WWDC event and in the same way this year Apple introduce the iOS 12 for iPhones and iPads to make the devices faster and smoother to run.

AR and ARKit

Augmented Reality technology is one the most futuristic technology for the growth of the device. This time Apple announced AR file format-USDZ with new AR-driven App called ad Measure.

Along with this, Apple has also announced a new latest version of ARKit software developer tool that includes improved face tracking system, 3-D object session and “shared experience” that enables users to share the  AR experience with another person.

Updated Siri

Apple’s voice assistant Siri also got some new features as Apple has introduced a new Developer tool called “shortcuts” that will enable the app developers to add personalized features in Siri for the users.

Do Not Disturb With Additional Features  

In order to make reduce notifications from different apps and sources, Do not disturb will come with new features. Apple is working on notification status so that it becomes much efficient to deal and when the user does not want to receive notifications that the user can be able to disallow it in the more easy way. A new feature – Screen Time also announced so that users will be able to see how much time they are spending on their device so that the will control and set limit accordingly. For the parents also some additional features are added to app category that helps them to keep an eye on the usage of their kids.


New features include the making of “emoji” – Animoji that look like the” more or less user”. Updated message App will now come with many camera filters as like present in Snapchat that will surely allow the users to do a lot with message app in their free time.


 FaceTime with Animoji 

FaceTime is Apple’s one of the best user-friendly calling App that will come with updated version so that it will allow the users to make group FaceTime with up to 32 participants. Another feature which includes is that the user can also use Animoji or photo filters while using FaceTime calls and the FaceTime audio call will also work on Apple Watch.

 Apple Watch and watchOS 5

In new watchOS, 5 fitness competition features are also included. Apple Watch will also track Yoga sessions. The watch will also detect and suggest the user when to start and stop the workouts. Through the Apple watch, users can send and receive audio messages. The most convenient feature in the Apple Watch is that now there will be no need to say “Hey Siri” for giving the command to anything, all you just need to do is just raise your hand towards your face and Siri will listen to the command.

Some web contents will also become supportive for Apple Watch.


Apple TV 4K and tvOS With Dolby Atoms

In Apple TV, the tech giant is adding Dolby atoms audio support to improve the iTunes library on supported movies, TV shows, and music videos for free.

“Zero sign on” is a new feature that will unlock supported apps and Charter Spectrum will become the first that will support this feature.


Mac and macOS Mojave

“ Dark mode” feature that will be very useful for the photo or video editors and software developers, is the very acceptable feature by the audience during its announcement. If you use to keep your documents on the desktop then “Desktop stack” will be very useful to you as it allows to organize documents in a new way. Apart from this “Gallery view” is also there that will provide you a new way to preview documents in a folder.

Users will also have an all-new redesigned Mac App store that will look like completely new iOS store.
