Samsung officially launched a redo version of their foldable device i.e. Galaxy Fold on Thursday at IFA. The price is around $2000 and will be available in Korea starting today. In other countries like the UK, Germany, France, and Singapore it would be available starting September 18.
Initially, it was said that Galaxy Fold would be available in Four colors but during the press conference, Samsung confirmed that devices will be available in Cosmos Black and Space Silver only. During the press conference, Samsung also said that the 5G version of the device will also be available in selected markets. Here is the specification of the device. It comes with a dynamic 7.3-inch QXGA Dynamic AMOLED display that defies expectations; the display is made of a revolutionary polymer material, While the smaller display measures 4.6 inches HD+ Super AMOLED one. This is the largest screen size in any galaxy smartphone ever.
The hinge that helps you fold the device is tested to bear the wear and tear up to 2 lakh folds. As you unfold the device, display works together seamlessly and with a great app continuity. The multitasking on is one step ahead from others thanks to its large display size now you can work on three apps simultaneously.
Galaxy Fold comes with 6 cameras in total. There are two cameras on the bigger screen where one is 10MP selfie camera which is accompanied by 8MP depth sensor, One camera on the smaller screen which comes out to be a 10 MP selfie camera and three cameras on the metallic back panel of the device with a 16MP Ultra-wide camera along with a 12MP wide-angle camera and 12MP telephoto lens.
Fold brings 12GB of RAM for intense multitasking and 512 GB of internal storage space which is ample for storing your media and apps. It contains a dual battery with a total of 4380 mAh capacity that uses and charges both cells simultaneously to prevent overheating and to save power, Intelligent battery management put inactive apps in reserve.
The 5G variant of Samsung Galaxy Fold has 4235 mAh battery. The device runs on One UI based on Android 9 Pie. Galaxy Buds are free with Galaxy Fold. Galaxy Fold will be launching in India in during first half of October.
