Apple is trying to entering in new domain start from this year, as earlier this year they have announced the service event in which they introduced Apple Card, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+ and Apple News+. This shows how Apple is trying to shift the dependency from the iPhone only. This thinking may bring a new device category in the upcoming iPhone event. Last week we have got detail about the new Apple Tags, this time it is confirmed by most prominent leaker Ming-Chi Kuo as Apple will bring their new device category which will be compatible with new FindMy apps in iOS 13.

Previously we have talked about the reference of Apple Tags inside iOS 13 beta build that shows how Apple will going to implement this service.

Apple Tags will have Ultra-wideband which is a short-range, low-power radio technology that will provide more precise location indoor than Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi which really says about Apple Tags accuracy. Apple also planning to place all iOS and Mac device around the world to act as a transponder for Apple Tags, so when you are not the proximity of Apple Tags you can easily find it.

UWB (Ultra-wideband) technology can track distance between two signal frequency precisely and very fast which is 100x more accurate as compared with Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi. In practice, UWB signals are effectively measured the distance between two devices between 5-10cm accuracy.

It will be very interesting to see how Apple will implement this technology inside such a tiny tracker with size and battery constraints. Apple will not provide any separate app for this feature. The user will be able to connect easily with FindMy app without any issue.

Apple will host the event at Steve Jobs Theater next Tuesday, where it is expected that Apple will launch iPhone and Apple Watch. So join us for more details about this event.
