As the Novel Corona Virus (COVID 19) epidemic continues so does the event cancellation or postponing streak as well. This China originated virus has struck the world not only on the physical front but on economy and technology front as well. Huge number of initial deaths caused by this virus has struck the world like a lighting bolt and broke the backbone of economy.

Fear of this virus has whipped the charm of festivals and doomed the lives of normal peoples. COVID 19 has also created some streaks not only on the physical front but on the technical front as well, it took lots of lives and caused cancellation of various events throughout the globe and the streak was started from cancellation of ‘Mobile World Congress’.

Mobile World Congress or MWC is an event that sets stage for various brands and OEM’s to showcase their latest concept devices or technology. Every tech nerd waits for this event to get his hands on the latest and the greatest tech. A lot of heart shattered when the announcement of the cancellation went live. realme had planned to launch their first 5G device namely ‘realme X50 Pro 5G’ during MWC 2020 but due to cancellation of the event they had to relocate the launch to Madrid, Spain and New Delhi, India on a very short note. Other manufactures also faced similar problems.

After MWC cancellation, Facebook changed it’s annual developer conference schematics to ‘Online Only’ instead of in-person maneuver and the same trail was followed by Google regarding their annual developer conference i.e. ‘I/O 2020’.

Now the California based tech giant ‘Apple Inc.’ has also announced that they are maneuvering their annual developer conference ‘WWDC’ for 2020 to Online only. WWDC is the place where more than 6k nerds meets to witness new developments and features provided by Apple on their software front. WWDC also marks the unveiling of new iterations of iOS i.e. an operating system for Apple Devices and various other software-based pushes like iPad OS, Watch OS.

Press statement by Apple VP ‘Phil Schiller’ clears the waves around the rumor around cancellation of the event. It clearly states that Apple is not cancelling the event instead they are holding the event over various live streams and video conferencing. Usually the event was scheduled around first or second week of June but this time we have to wait for official revelation of dates.
