Microsoft Hardware event is going to be amazing as Microsoft is trying to create some enthusiasm among users about its upcoming Surface lineup. Microsoft will show its product lineup on October 2. A tweet from a Microsoft leaker WalkingCat tweeted four images that seem to be the next upcoming Microsoft devices, the images put emphasis on Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3.
Surface Pro 7 is getting one of the major redesigns as some of the features in Surface Pro devices are getting deprecated like port option in existing Surface Pro still has not adopted Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 which now means really lost as device like External GPU, faster Hard drives or Server drives option are available for Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port option. Display of Surface Pro should also need to be updated as the recent Pixel Sense display is good but not able to compare with industry other devices.
Talking about the leak images, we have seen some new redesign in surface devices with new dark colors. The pictures are showing not much as expected, we are not able to see any radical design changes from current-gen. Surface devices, for both the Surface Pro 7 or Surface Laptop 3.
Recent leaks also suggest that the new Surface device going to add USB-C support for both Surface Pro 7 and Surface Book 3. Both the device will likely to get Intel’s 10th Gen Core CPUs. One of the most interesting news about the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 version is that it will include an AMD variant which is one of the welcome changes. As AMD CPU is showing much market dent by the inclusion of new Ryzen 3rd Gen processor, AMD has been surpassing the Intel CPU in each every benchmark test.
Microsoft also trying to implement a new color combination for the upcoming Surface device as we have seen many stagnant combinations for Microsoft including earlier color like Silver and Black that makes the device look cooler but after a while users want a new color. According to the leak, Microsoft will include “glacier blue, yellow sandstone, and poppy red” are reportedly coming to the Surface Laptop 3. Rumors indicate there may be a version offered without Alcantara fabric as well, along with, potentially, AMD processors.
One of the biggest change which should be considered will be ARM support fro Surface device as Surface Pro lineup will include a simple “Surface 7” device which will feature ARM processor, with a new design including a nearly borderless display.
